We're building a global education network of research, innovation and collaboration, and equipping our schools to inspire young minds across the world.
Sir Anthony Seldon, Founding Director of Wellington College Education, outside Wellington College

Welcome

Wellington College Education (WCE) is a network founded by Wellington College, whose purpose is to align and maximise the impact of all our global education activities, directly or through partnership, with the ultimate aim of the whole being significantly greater than the sum of our individual parts.

Encompassing ten co-educational schools around the world as well as Festivals of Education in the UK, US, China and Thailand, WCE will expand educational opportunities and foster cultural connectivity through leadership, innovation and international collaboration.

“I am delighted to rejoin the Wellington fold after a decade away. Wellington College Education, alongside our worldwide partners, aims to raise global educational standards and empower young minds by becoming the most admired and innovative family of schools in the world. Nothing is more important than education and having this opportunity to work with schools internationally is an enormous privilege.”

Our Founding School

Wellington College, Crowthorne, UK

Wellington College is a pioneering co-educational institution, which is driven by the need to provide young people with the knowledge, skills and character to fulfil their potential and help shape and serve the ever changing world in which they live.

Our Heritage

Wellington College (Crowthorne, England) was the vision of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Granted its Royal Charter in December 1853, with Queen Victoria laying the foundation stone in 1856, the school opened in 1859 as a national monument to Arthur Wellesley,
the first Duke of Wellington and one of the country’s most renowned military figures and statesmen.

Its purpose was to provide an education to the children of soldiers who died in service. Today, Wellington College is a globally acknowledged, leading British co-educational boarding and day school providing a world-class holistic education within an inclusive community.

Each school delivers exceptional education, brought vividly to life through a dialogue between pedagogies and cultures, whilst being uniquely tailored to their own communities.

Bilingual Schools (Hiba)

Wellington College Education (China) also provides a partnership with Hiba Academies. Hiba are dedicated to connecting the educational excellence of the East and West to create a pupil-centric, bilingual, bicultural learning experience.

The Hiba ethos is to inspire children to be the best version of themselves, to take pride in where they come from and to be the change they wish to see in the world, expressed through the motto:
Be You. Be More.

Wellington College’s Greenpower Racing Team achieved an impressive double podium finish at Mallory Park on 7 May, finishing second in both races against 42 competing teams. The team’s flagship electric racing car, The Beef, has automatically qualified for the prestigious Goodwood Greenpower Final in October after completing more than 87 miles on a single battery charge across the two endurance races.

Led by Head of DET Robert Winter and John Carrington, the Greenpower programme gives students practical experience in engineering, design, manufacturing and teamwork through competitive electric vehicle racing. The cars are designed, built and maintained by Fifth Form and Lower Sixth students as part of Wellington’s Global Citizenship programme.

The Greenpower Challenge sees schools compete in 90-minute endurance races using battery-powered vehicles, where success depends on efficiency, aerodynamics and reliability. The Beef was one of the country’s top-performing cars in 2025, finishing fifth nationally out of around 300 teams.

Looking ahead, the team is developing a new carbon-fibre car for the 2027 season. Designed to be lighter and more efficient, the project aims to build on Wellington’s success.

The current team includes drivers Muli, Eleanora, Max, Jasper, Arjan and Fergus, supported by pit crew and mechanics Polly, Nina, Honor, Lillian, Fabian, Polina and Clark.

Our WCI Pune Primary School’s Eco Team embarked on an exciting journey of environmental care.  In a wonderful show of community spirit, our pupils, parents, and the Eco Team collaborated with Kalpavriksha, an organisation dedicated to environmental education and sustainability. Thanks to your incredible support, the funds raised from the eco-friendly stalls have been donated to Kalpavriksha to support their meaningful green initiatives.

Here are a few wonderful glimpses from our Eco Team’s Open Mic event held on 3rd June.

In our recent webinar, Founding Headmaster Christine Haslett shared what sets Wellington apart—not as promises, but as principles embedded in everything we do.

A Wellington education means your child will experience a well-rounded curriculum shaped by purpose, with clear pathways to the world's leading universities. They'll grow in an environment that balances global outlook with Nigerian roots. Meanwhile, they’ll be supported by exceptional pastoral care and outstanding facilities designed for their wellbeing.

Our strong boarding tradition and membership in the global Wellington community ensure they're never learning alone—they're part of something larger.

Inspired by tradition. Always looking forward.
