Wellington College International Lagos, opening in Alaro City in 2027, will be a landmark co educational day and boarding school for ages 2–18, bringing world class British education to West Africa. Its state of the art MICA designed campus will feature cutting edge teaching facilities, a performing arts centre, extensive sports amenities and a 50 metre indoor swimming pool.

Following the English National Curriculum through to A levels, the school will integrate excellence in academics, music, arts, sports, AI and entrepreneurship.

As part of the global Wellington College Education network, it will offer transformative, future ready learning rooted in the values of kindness, courage, respect, integrity and responsibility.

Meet the Master

Ms. Christine Haslett is an accomplished international school leader with extensive experience across day and boarding schools in the UK, China, and Indonesia.

She brings deep expertise in founding new school communities, having played a pivotal leadership role in the establishment of Wellington College Independent School Jakarta. She is widely respected for her ability to combine strategic leadership with outstanding pastoral care, strong community engagement, and academic excellence.

Reflecting on her appointment, Christine says:
