Wellington College International is delighted to report on the successful conclusion of the HR Summit China 2025, hosted over two intensive days at Hiba Academy Nantong. Bringing together HR leaders and specialists from every Wellington College International campus, the summit embodied the College’s commitment to collaboration, innovation, and professional excellence.

Across plenary addresses, panel discussions, and hands-on workshops, delegates examined the forces reshaping human resources and outlined strategies for unified growth within our international network.
Key themes included:
• Building Networks & Shared Resources — aligning policies and platforms to unlock cross-school opportunity and efficiency.
• Change Management & Artificial Intelligence — assessing how emerging technologies can streamline operations while safeguarding Wellington’s people-centred ethos.
• Coaching Culture & Leadership Development — establishing pipelines that nurture future senior leaders from within.
• Global Mobility & Talent Management — refining relocation, onboarding, and succession planning across borders.
In-depth breakout sessions allowed participants to test ideas in smaller forums:
– Employer Branding: positioning Wellington as an employer of choice in competitive markets;
– AI-Powered HR Operations: data-driven scheduling, analytics, and recruitment tools;
– Total Rewards & Recruitment: harmonising compensation frameworks to attract and retain high-calibre staff.
Beyond the formal agenda, networking dinners and collaborative group activities provided further opportunities for relationship-building and the exchange of best practice. Collectively, delegates affirmed a shared vision of HR as an engine for educational excellence across the Wellington College family.
Wellington College International extends sincere gratitude to every speaker, facilitator, and attendee whose expertise and enthusiasm ensured the summit’s success. Particular thanks are due to Ms Fiona Carter, International Director, whose leadership and logistical oversight were instrumental from conception to delivery.
The insights generated in Nantong will inform a refreshed HR action plan for 2025–26, reinforcing Wellington College International’s mission to cultivate outstanding staff, inspire lifelong learning, and strengthen our global community.
