Wellington College International is delighted to announce the appointment of three new members of staff, each bringing exceptional expertise and experience to our community.
Paresh Thakrar – Managing Director
We are pleased to welcome Paresh Thakrar as Managing Director. Paresh earned first-class honours at Cambridge before embarking on a career in investment banking and serving in senior Government roles across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Following his MBA at London Business School, he advised financial institutions at McKinsey and later became Chief Operating Officer at Hiscox. At Winchester College, Paresh was bursar, where he led coeducation, implemented internal reforms, and delivered £100M in transformative campus development. His leadership and vision will be central to the continued growth of Wellington College International.
Joel Worrall – International Director
Joining as International Director, Joel Worrall brings 25 years of experience in UK independent schools across England, China, and the Middle East. He has successfully led three schools and played a key role in establishing Fettes and King’s College School internationally. Joel holds degrees from Auckland and in Educational Leadership, and is a qualified inspector and former governor. Passionate about holistic, values-driven education, Joel promotes teamwork and student growth through both academic and co-curricular excellence.
Jayne Dann – PA to the Managing Director
We also welcome Jayne Dann as PA to Managing Director, Paresh Thakrar. Jayne brings over a decade of experience from the Royal Horticultural Society’s flagship site, RHS Garden Wisley, where she led the planning and delivery of major public programmes. A Tourism Management graduate from UWE, Jayne is passionate about travel and the environment, and her strong skills in coordination, organisation, and relationship-building will be invaluable in supporting the leadership team.
