Wellington College International School Bangkok

Wellington College International Bangkok has stunning facilities and first-class staff who keep children at the centre of all that they do.

Bangkok is a dynamic, bustling city and boasts many international schools. As one of the city’s most premium schools, Wellington College International Bangkok stands out for its facilities, academic rigour and extensive co-curricular programme. The whole campus is designed to be an environment for learning with lush landscaping and attention to detail that creates a rich setting for a Wellington education.

It was the first school in the world to be fully accredited by COBIS within its first year of operation. Now an established school, it continues to thrive across all year groups, from Early Years through the Junior School and into the Senior School. Students study IGCSE programmes, and A Levels in Years 12 and 13. It was also on the British International School of the Year Award 2022 shortlist.

Wellington College Bangkok provides an education that is vibrant, demanding and progressive, encompassing both serious focus on academic achievement and a breadth of approach to the larger context of sport, performance and a wide range of activities of all types. We believe strongly in the importance of individual motivation and the structured development of personal and intellectual independence; most of all, we want our students to become well-rounded, genuinely good adults who are equipped, able and ready to flourish in the world.

Meet the Master

The Founding Master of Wellington College Bangkok, Mr. Chris Nicholls, began his teaching career at Caterham School, UK having previously run a successful language training company in the City of London. He moved to Singapore to work at Tanglin Trust School, one of the world’s top British international schools, then on to Tokyo, to pilot the enormously successful development of the Senior School at the British School in Tokyo.

Before joining Wellington in 2017, he spent two years setting up an ambitious new school in Warsaw, Poland. Chris’s first degree is in English Literature and his postgraduate studies have focused on Applied Linguistics and Educational Management.

“All the teachers and staff are so friendly and approachable. It seems like there is a great balance between the arts, sports, academics and music.’’
