Wellington College International Tianjin is based in a major port city in northern China, known for its unique blend of historical European architecture from its colonial past as well as its futuristic modern development, only an hour from Beijing.
As the first Wellington College International school in the group, it opened in August 2011 and boasts a thriving international community which hosts a Bilingual Nursery, an International School and an integral A-level Centre with students, from age 2 to 18, hailing from over thirty different countries worldwide. Situated in the heart of the city, teaching is delivered within the most dynamic and modern schooling facilities available in the municipality.
As an A-level centre of excellence, Wellington College Tianjin is the only Tianjin-based international school offering CIE, AQA and Edexcel examinations, the Duke of Edinburgh International Award scheme, and the International Primary Curriculum (IPC).

Meet the Master
The Master of Wellington College Tianjin is Dr. Yang Yang, who has been at Wellington College International Tianjin since 2015. She brings a wealth of experience; she has been the Director of the International Department of Tianjin Nankai High School, and Vice Principal of Tianjin Foreign Languages School Affiliated with Tianjin Foreign Studies University. She led the AP International Curriculum Centre, International Department, and Educational Scientific Research Department.
Dr. Yang’s own educational background reflects her enthusiasm for education, with her undergraduate Degree in English Teaching and MA in Chinese Literature awarded by Tianjin Normal University, and her Ph.D. work was in Sociology at Tianjin Nankai University.
Dr. Yang enjoys dancing, specialising in Chinese folk dance and classical dance. She is also fond of travelling and has been to 20 countries and nearly every part of China.
